Located in Huntsville, AL, the US Space Camp & Rocket Center was opened in 1970, shortly after the second manned mission to the moon. Designed to showcase the various equipment and achievements from the United States space program, the Center is often referred to as “Earth’s largest space museum”.
In addition to the historical collection, the museum began offering the Space Camp® program in 1982 to help promote the study of math, science, and technology. Over 600,000 students and adults have attended the camp since it began!
