Burrhus Frederic Skinner
B. F. Skinner was born in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania in 1904.
He attended the same high school as both of his parents and graduated in a class of eight. He attended Hamilton College in Clinton New York and earned a bachelors degree in English. He attended Harvard and received a degree in psychology, then a new field.
He taught at Minnesota, Indiana, and joined the Harvard faculty in 1948. He authored numerous books on psychology and teaching. He is known as one of the founders of behavioral psychology. His online autobiography recounts his early life, education and career.
