Cumberland Falls – KY

Often referred to as the “Niagra of the South”, at this location the Cumberland River drops 65 feet as it flows over a sandstone layer that is estimated to be about 250 million years old. On moonlit nights, you may catch a glimpse of the beautiful “moonbow”, said to be equaled only by the Victoria Falls in Africa.

The area offers scenic and exciting canoeing and whitewater paddling, as well as wonderful hiking, camping, horseback riding, and bird watching opportunities.
