Fred McFeely Rogers

Fred McFeely Rogers was born in Latrobe, Pennsylvania in 1928. He has been the host of the popular PBS children’s show Mr. Rogers Neighborhood for more than three decades.

He has lived in Pennsylvania for most of his 73 years and received a Pennsylvania Founders award from the Governor. He earned a degree in music and married his college sweetheart. He is also an ordained Presbyterian minister. He appeared in one film in 1995, playing the part of himself in Casper.

He passed away in 2003.
