Penn-Brad Oil Museum – PA

Noted as the “First Billion Dollar Oil Field”, the Penn-Brad Oil Museum is meant to preserve the philosophy, the spirit, and the accomplishments of an oil country community. The museum is located three miles south of the city of Bradford, PA on Route 219.

Bradford is home to the Zippo lighter company and Case knife company. The city still has a working oil refinery, which is the oldest continuously operating refinery in the United States. Many of the oil wells in the region pump the oil directly to the facility to process.

Bradford is also home the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford (Pitt-Bradford), a four-year college with over 1,500 students.
